Sonia Hellenbrand is a violinist from Berlin with a passion for performing and teaching. Starting lessons in violin at age eight and piano in her teens, Sonia has performed internationally as a chamber musician, soloist and in orchestras.
In the course of her studies, she has had the privilege of working with teachers such as Yehonatan Berick, Axel Strauss, Peter Allen, and Tomasz Tomaszewski, and participated in masterclasses with James Ehnes, Timothy Chooi, Rachel Barton-Pine, and Mark Fewer.
As a chamber musician Sonia has performed in the Scotia Festival of Music, the NYO Chamberfest, the International Music Workshop and Festival and the Classikfest Chaleur.
